Interwoven has announced the availability of MediaBin Asset Server 3.0, with pricing beginning at $100,000. Line 56 says that MediaBin provides digital asset management (DAM), which can be thought of as an advanced filing cabinet or a portal for images and other digital assets.
Interwoven announced that Florida’s Miami-Dade County has launched a new portal powered by Interwoven and IBM WebSphere, providing residents access to information and services from more than 40 county agencies.

InternetWeek details how Rational also plans to extend its best practices and methodologies, called Rational Unified Process, across IBM’s other software brands Tivoli, DB2, WebSphere and Lotus, said Eric Schurr, vice president of marketing for Rational.
Information Week reports that Context Media has developed a portal dashboard that will let portal managers publish content to all their corporate portals in a single operation. Context’s Interchange PortalPlus is available immediately for portals supported by the SunOne Portal Server 6. Versions for BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
Bowstreet announced the availability of Bowstreet Portlet Factory version 5.6.2. This new release features support for IBM WebSphere Portal 5.0.
Systinet announced the availability of WASP Developer, 4.6, which extends Java IDEs to support Web services creation, debugging and deployment. The new release includes support for OASIS Web Services Security (WS-S). WASP Developer, 4.6 is available for the latest editions of Sun ONE Studio/NetBeans, Eclipse, IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer, and Borland JBuilder.
