<A target="_blank" href="http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/12/17/eds_mainframe/">After HP bought EDS last year, they started laying off people to cut costs.</A> It seems they may have overdone it. Some mainframe crashes have occurred because the people who supported the machines were let go.
