<p>Symbotic says its mobile, autonomous robots can lead to greater efficiency in warehouse operations.</p><p>Wilmington-based Symbotic, a maker of mobile robots for warehouses led by former IBM (NYSE: IBM) Netezza CEO Jim Baum, is now deploying its robotics systems to its first commercial customers, Baum said in an interview.</p><p>The company's majority shareholder, Keene, N.H.-based C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc., has previously used Symbotic robots at its warehouses for storing and retrieving products. Symbotic is "now doing initial product implementation with initial commercial customers" in the grocery industry other than C&S, Baum said.
