<p>IBM has announced the launch of Software Centers of Excellence (CoE) at the Academy of Business and Engineering Sciences (ABES), and HR Group of Institutions (HRGI), Ghaziabad. IBM India has now established three CoEs in Ghaziabad, aimed at improving the quality of technical education by providing support, resources, professional training, certification and skills in open standards.</p><p>Malathi Srinivasan, Country Leader IBM Academic Initiative said, "As an industry leader, IBM believes in continually enhancing our extensive academic ecosystem. Through these partnerships, we will work closely with the faculty in providing an industry relevant education that will build a more skilled and competitive IT workforce. Students, while in college, will be able to complete their certifications from the COEs and improve their employment prospects".</p><p>ABES and HRGI have already undertaken three training workshops each two on DB2 and one on RAD (Rational Application Development) including one faculty development program ABES currently has 196 students and 55 faculty members certified in IBM technology while HRGI has completed 163 certifications including 42 faculty members.</p><p>Neeraj Goel, General Secretary, ABES said, "We believe in providing our students with knowledge and experience on the latest technology platforms and software before they graduate.
