<p>ROCKFORD For the first time in four years, the newly remodeled Eclipse Lagoon at Nicholas Conservatory &amp; Gardens, 1354 N. Second St., Rockford, will be open for ice skating and hockey.</p><p>The Lagoon will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., weather permitting and when conditions are safe. Rockford Park District staff will check the thickness of the ice daily, and signs alerting residents of the conditions will be posted on site.</p><p>Admission is free. Guests should bring their own skates; no rentals will be available.
