<p>Actifio released the latest version of its namesake software, as well as two new product packages. Actifio 5.1 features SLA-based data integration validation, user/role-based auditing, the rapid recovery and rebuild of Windows and Linux servers, and non-disruptive disaster recovery testing. New product package Actifio 100T protects physical and virtual IT environment, with support for up to 100TB of production data and 1,000 VMs. Designed for regionally and globally distributed enterprises, Actifio Gateway virtualizes and manages third-party storage devices, including physical, virtual and heterogeneous server and storage infrastructures, and can scale up to 8 petabytes.</p><p>Amazon Web Services unveiled its High Memory Cluster instances, a new Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud instance family designed for memory-intensive applications, such as in-memory analytics, databases, caching and scientific computing. The instances are based on two Intel Xeon E5-2670 processors that provide 88 EC2 Compute Units of compute capacity, two 120 GB solid state drives of instance storage, high bandwidth networking and 244 GB of RAM.
