<p>Apple has disabled versions of Java it believes are vulnerable to attack, following a string of high profile attacks on the platform.</p><p>The company said that it had issued updates which would block the web plug-in versions of Java which have not received patches for recently-disclosed security vulnerabilities.</p><p>According to Apple, OS X users will no longer be able to run Java 6 versions prior to the update 41 release and Java 7 releases prior to update 15.</p><p>Users can obtain patches by downloading the most recent secure version of Java from the Apple OS X Software Update application.</p><p><a href="http://www.v3.co.uk/v3-uk/news/2253008/apple-issues-block-on-vulnerable-versions-of-java">Keep reading...</a></p>
