SEATTLE -- Mariners outfielder Michael Morse, tied for the American League lead with six home runs, sustained a non-displaced fracture of his right pinkie finger when he was hit on the hand by a pitch in the seventh inning of Thursday's 4-3 loss to Texas.

Manager Eric Wedge said Morse will likely be out 3-7 days. The club has already lost outfielder Michael Saunders, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list earlier Thursday with a sprained right shoulder.

Veteran Endy Chavez was called up from Triple-A Tacoma to take Saunders' place, but Wedge said no roster move will be made with Morse since he's not expected to be out that long.

"We've got Chavez up here now. We'll make it work," said Wedge. "It is what it is."
