<p>OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/05/13 -- A Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CP-140 Aurora aircraft from 14 Wing Greenwood had the honour of representing the Canadian Armed Forces today at the Royal Australian Navy's (RAN) International Fleet Review in Sydney, Australia.</p><p>The RAN invited more than 50 countries to send warships, tall ships and aircraft to participate in the event from October 3 to 11, to mark the 100th anniversary of the first entry of the RAN's Fleet into Sydney Harbour. The review is the largest commemorative event ever undertaken by the RAN, and more than 8 000 Australian and visiting personnel are expected to participate.</p><p>"Canada is honoured to have been part of the International Fleet Review commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet arriving in Sydney," said the Hon. Rob Nicholson, Minister of National Defence. "The CP-140 Aurora is a stalwart of Canada's maritime defence, and both aircraft and crew made our country and our armed forces proud as we celebrated this important milestone for Australia, which has been a staunch friend and ally to Canada."</p><p>Her Excellency the Honourable Quentin Bryce, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, conducted a fleet review, accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales.
