<p>Underlining the need for a unified state of Andhra Pradesh, Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP) president N Kiran Kumar Reddy has reiterated his popular slogan 'Samaikyam Maa Ninadam Kaadu, Maa Vidhanam' (United state is not just our slogan, it is our policy). But despite the impressive yet expected opening lines, the party leaders were at pains to elaborate on what they are trying to gain from the unity slogan in divided state. However, the leaders said that the state was divided violating Constitutional procedures, and exuded confidence that the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court would strike off the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act to keep Telugu people united.</p><p>Addressing the first public meeting of JSP at Gemini grounds here Wednesday night, Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the party was floated to fight for a united state and for the unity of the Telugu people. He rubbished rumours that the party was launched as an abode for the politically unemployed and stated that it was formed not for power but for the Telugu people. "People of both the region will incur loss in power, water, education and other sectors due to the division," he added. He claimed that people of Telangana too, were opposing the division.</p><p>The former CM targeted all political parties for the current situation and claimed that only his party can fight for the unity of the Telugu people.</p><p>"Peddamma Sonia Gandhi, chinnamma Sushma Swaraj, pedababu N Chandrababu Naidu and chinnababu YS Jagan Mohan are the real culprits for the state division. They went against the Constitution and passed the AP Reorganisation Bill behind closed doors by suspending the elected representatives and cutting the live telecast," he alleged.
